Autogroup International’s Safety, Quality Assurance, Vehicle Compliance and Quality Control team employs 20-plus full-time specialists to engineer workforce safety, technical precision and verified standards conformity for right hand drive conversions of American vehicles.
Every vehicle completes our 1,626-point Quality Control inspection under our audited Bureau Veritas ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (Certificate No. IND.24.1088/QM/U), valid to 05 April 2027), specifically scoped for “the design and implementation of modifications to left hand drive vehicles to comply with the Motor Vehicles Standards Act 2018 of Australia.”
Our comprehensive QMS and Conformity of Production (CoP) controls demonstrate “full control” over design, componentry and manufacture to consistently meet ADR (Australia), SANS (South Africa) and UK type approval frameworks (VCA/DVSA). This certification scope, QMS and CoP evidence reinforces our position as the world leader in mirror-image right hand drive conversions, trusted in more than 40 countries for certified quality, uncompromising conformity and repeatable manufacturing excellence.
SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
The Safety team is responsible for the health, safety, and well-being of our 250+ team members, plus external visitors to our facility. Following international Occupational Health and Safety standards, all teams operate within a safe workplace with support from qualified health and safety inspectors. Our facility is also audited by various government departments to ensure our compliance with all standards.

ISO QUALITY ASSURANCE
Autogroup International has held Bureau Veritas ISO 9001:2015 certification for over 20 years - the only converter outside Australia certified for "the design and implementation of modifications to left hand drive vehicles to comply with the Motor Vehicles Standards Act 2018 of Australia" (Certificate IND.24.1088/QM/U, valid to 05 April 2027). This externally audited system, maintained daily by our dedicated QA team, proves our right hand drive conversions deliver measurable, verified quality.
INTERNAL QUALITY CONTROL
The Quality Control team is directly responsible for ensuring all 1,626 Quality Control inspection points, for each vehicle, are documented and recorded. This starts at the vehicle unloading all the way through the entire vehicle conversion process, and up to the final Quality Control process which is signed off by our CEO before vehicle delivery.

quality and safety
The Australian Design Rules (ADRs) are a set of national standards that ensure road vehicle safety, anti-theft measures, and emissions control. Every new road vehicle manufactured and imported into the country must comply with the relevant ADRs when the vehicle is first supplied to the Australian market. Autogroup International’s compliance can be confirmed on the Australian government website here.
Its important to note that vehicles configured in accordance with the regulations of countries other than Australia are generally barred from import to Australia unless they are brought into compliance with applicable ADRs and the conversion work is inspected and certified by an authorised external compliance engineer.

The engineering documentation team at Autogroup International plays a critical role in documenting and ensuring compliance with homologation and design rules for government regulations in the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, and forty other right-hand drive countries. They maintain control over engineering-related documents and records, establishing traceability and accountability for each vehicle conversion, modification, and component. This meticulous documentation process ensures that all conversions meet the necessary standards and requirements.
